Chris, you will have to respond with more insight than repeating what sherry has already said.
Ilyana, what do you mean when you said that welfare receiptiants "didn't do what they should have done during the years before turning 18"? What should they have done?
IF YOU ARE IN THE LAB, PLEASE COME TO LAB E IN THE REAR AS THESE ARE THE SEATS RESERVED FOR US AND IT IS UNFAIR TO OTHERS TO TAKE UP SEATS IN THE MAIN LAB!
In response to Veronica...
So then, might we reasonably conclude that "class warfare" is a more acceptable way for the government to control a population, that, as a whole, i.e. approximately 2/3, is made up of a minority population?
In response to Ilyana... my goal is to encourage you and all students to be well thought out and specific when responding. I was not making a value judgement on your response, but rather, asking a question.
In response to John's and others' comments, abortion is NOT mandatory for welfare receipiants, rather, abortion might become a neccessity for receipiants because the government will not pay additional money for more than three children. Therefore, it may result in an increased abortion rate amongst welfare receipiants.
Rich brings up some interesting points visa vie his controversial comments. How does the fact that we are NOT a socialist nation, but a capitalist one, affect our notion of welfare receipiants?
In response to Lisstte... Good point about the nature of life. Many of us are born with advantages or disadvantages such as family wealth/education/status, mental and physical capacity, even citizenship in many cases is a privledge or drawback.
